6ft8″ x 20 x 2.8″ Approx 38-39ltrs this hand crafted Step Up Shortboard Surfboard is designed to handle the waves when they get head high and beyond. The shape dictates maximum performance down the line with enough volume to help you feel a bit more secure when dropping into the depths.

Step Up Shortboard features

A classic Step Up profile with the wide point just to the rear of center. A  pin tail that is designed to hold the line in big steep waves and Reefs, while the nose is slim for urgent duck dives to get you out of trouble. The rails are dependable for decent surf with a deep penetration to hold you in the pocket.

Bottom contours are single to double concave for lift and drive, whilst maintaining control at speed. The Rocker is high enough so the board will glide into the wave on takeoff and hold you in the Barrel with a stable ride. Board features a heavy 6+4 Top deck, 6oz bottom deck glass job and Fin setup is Future fins thruster.

When to ride a Step Up

This board will ride in waves from chest high to double overhead, as long as there is a decent wave face for the rocker it will be OK in anything over 4ft. Reefs, points and Heavy beach breaks are ideal for this board. This Step Up Shape has been ridden at most of the main heavy breaks around the UK. Especially tested to the full in the up North at all of the main Reefs and secret heavy spots in the North East.
